Abril Plasencia Queralt,

Together with Foment del Treball, the Cluster Catalonia Logistics has signed a collaboration agreement to promote initiatives of mutual interest related to transport, mobility, and logistics, strategic sectors for the competitiveness of the Catalan economy.

The agreement establishes a stable framework for cooperation between the two organizations, creating opportunities for collaboration, sharing initiatives aimed at companies in the sector, and promoting joint actions within Foment’s transport, logistics, and infrastructure committees.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Foment’s Secretary General, David Tornos, and the Vice President of the Cluster Catalonia Logistics, Santiago Massó. Also present were the Cluster’s General Manager, Marta Losada; Foment’s Director of Economic Studies, Salvador Guillermo; and transport, mobility, and logistics consultant, Josep Maria Fortuny.

On behalf of Foment, David Tornos highlighted that “logistics is a key driver of business competitiveness and the country’s economic progress. This collaboration enables us to combine sector expertise and develop shared responses to the challenges facing transport, mobility, and infrastructure.”

For his part, Santiago Massó emphasized that “cooperation with Foment strengthens the Cluster’s ability to connect companies, knowledge, and institutions, while advancing a more innovative, sustainable, and resilient logistics sector that is prepared for future challenges.”

The agreement includes collaboration in priority areas such as sustainability and the energy transition, with initiatives focused on the efficient renewal of fleets and facilities; the digitalization of transport and logistics; urban freight distribution; the application of artificial intelligence in the sector; business best practices; and the development, attraction, and retention of talent.

The agreement also provides for the joint organization of conferences, technical sessions, and industry events; reciprocal participation in activities promoted by both organizations; the design and dissemination of supporting content; and collaboration on projects of common interest.

The Cluster Catalonia Logistics is an association of transport and logistics companies and organizations that works to improve the competitiveness of its members through cooperation, innovation, and internationalization, with a vision focused on generating environmental, economic, and social synergies.

Through this partnership, Foment del Treball reinforces its commitment to building strong alliances with leading organizations in sectors that are essential to the future of the Catalan economy, while contributing to the development of a more efficient, sustainable, and competitive logistics sector.
